Francesco Diamanti


Francesco Diamanti is Researcher of Criminal Law (RTD-B) at the Department of Law of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He teaches criminal law, criminal labor law and criminal law of agri-food safety.

He is qualified as associate professor by unanimous vote of the committee (ASN-2020). He has participated as a speaker at conferences in Italy and abroad, and is the author of some thirty scientific publications, including the monographs: “Scriminanti incomplete e giudizi controfattuali. Contributo a uno studio sull’imputazione dell’illecito penale” (Giappichelli, 2019) and “La legittima difesa. Una questione politica” (Giappichelli, 2020). He has carried out numerous study and research experiences abroad, especially in Germany at the Max Planck Institut für ausländisches und internationales Strafrecht in Freiburg im Breisgau and at the University of London (IALS-Institute of Advanced Legal Studies), always as Visiting Scientist.
