Zlata Đurđević


Zlata Đurđević is a tenured professor of law at the University of Zagreb. She specialises in criminal procedure, human rights, European and international criminal law and psychiatric law. She is adjunct professor at the University of Luxemburg and was a Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley, De Paul University College of Law, University of Split, University of Osijek. For two years (2014-2016) she was a Senior Research Scholar at the Yale Law School. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Organization of Penal Law (AIDP), a contact point for Croatia in European Criminal law Academic Network and a president of the Croatian Association of European Criminal Law. She served many times in a consultancy capacity to governmental, judicial, public and non-governmental organizations in fields ranging from human rights to compliance with international and European law. She conducted and partnered in numerous international projects. She was a President of the Drafting Committee for a new Croatian Criminal Procedural Code in 2013. She has written over 60 publications and presented at over 80 national and international conferences.
